At the moment, 25% of financial, databases and business-related apps run on the Cloud. It is a superb platform that grows each day. But, Mark Hurd, co-chief of Oracle claims that this is going to be changed, completely in the next 8 years. He believes that by 2025, more than 80% of the aforementioned apps will run on Cloud. Right now, the leaders in this matter are Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. The last two companies are increasing their development and their Cloud investments.
What is Cloud Actually?
Normally, when companies want to store safe data and classified information, they use Cloud. It is a remotely controlled storage facility that can be private or public. Public ones have a huge amount of available storage and they are available to several companies at the same time. Private cloud is completely different. It is usually reserved for just one company that actually owns that data facility and only they can use it.
Cloud offers numerous benefits and advantages, such as stability, safety, and higher speed. Even ordinary users have been using Cloud more and more over the years. It is definitely the future of the internet and the data/app storage.
Development jobs and tests in the Cloud in the near future
Mark Hurd is definitely a person who sees the full potential of the Cloud. He also claims that by 2025, all tests and developments of the software, apps and etc. will be done on the Cloud. This brings another advantage. This type of testing and development is safe due to the fact, it has no real contact with outside sources and possible threats. It is a sealed development process that offers the highest level of safety possible, therefore it is the best choice right now.
